President-Elect (1-Year Term; 3-Year Commitment)

Luana Canty
Heron Design Group

“ASID, Southern AZ is actively setting standards that are so needed in this design community under the leadership of our current and very talented President, Lori Carroll. I especiallly support the opportunities she has planned for designers to gather for continuing educational events! I was a fine arts teacher in the past and I know how working together and sharing the creative process can build both relationships and confidence in the impact we make in our community.”

Director of Membership (2-Year Term)

Taylor Peterson
Lori Carroll & Associates

“I’m excited about this role because it offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a creative, collaborative environment while continuing to grow as a designer. I'm drawn to the challenge of crafting thoughtful, user-centered solutions that not only solve real problems but also inspire and engage. Being part of a team that values innovation, curiosity, and impact aligns closely with my own values and approach to design. To the design community, I hope to bring a mindset rooted in empathy, attention to detail, and a strong belief in design’s power to make a difference. I bring experience in both collaborative and independent design work, with a focus on clear communication, strategic thinking, and crafting intentional, user-focused outcomes. I also care deeply about creating inclusive experiences that respect diverse needs and perspectives.
Overall, I see this as more than just a role—it’s a chance to grow with a community, contribute
meaningfully, and create work that matters.”

Director of Communications (2-Year Term)

Ashleigh Weatherill, ASID Practitioner
Ashleigh Weatherill Interior Design

"As a business owner, I recognize communications and outreach is critical to engagement and participation. After building a sucessful practice in Denver, Colorado and relocating to Tucson, I noticed a significant difference in the design community between the two locations. I believe the best way to immerse myself in this community is to become active with the local chapter. I hope to contibute to the continuation and growth the current board has fostered to not only grow, but to celebrate the unique place that is Tucson”

Director of Professional Development and Programs (2-Year Term)

Kimberly Vargas
Arizona Tile

“I have always enjoyed learning and sharing information to help others, especially when our passions align! Being a memeber of the ASID board would be a great way to support an amazing group of local professionals. Arizona Tile's support of ASID has provided me with opportunity to connect with a wide variety of local designers and vendors.
As a resident of Tucson for the last 31 years I cherish the small community feel and would love to participate in giving back. Coming from a diverse background that includes, design and construction, customer service, corporate management and team development, I welcome the opportunity to serve others again.”

Director-at-Large (2-Year Term)

Daniela Munoz
EmV Design Build

“As a new member of ASID it has been really great to see more people in the community excited about events and becoming active members of ASID. This role interests me because I love bringing awareness to the design community and being able to experience all the benefits being a member brings to local designers and even vendors. It is a great thing to watch a community come together and be able to share insights, contacts, and even just advice from older generations to the younger ones coming in to the industry.”
